Aurora Spinnery aims to honor the long history we have as makers and creators, as well as the story tellers that breathe magic into our human experience and give us Archetypal heroes to guide our lives. Aurora Spinnery is located on The Dodge Farm, which is striving to bring Merino sheep back to Vermont’s landscape and economy. We raise beef cattle, and Merino, Polwarth, Border Leicester and BFL sheep. We want to wear and sell beautiful and soft woolens. We make our own hay, raise our animals with love and hand dye fibers with plants grown on the farm. We custom process wool, alpaca and mohair for fellow farmers on Belfast Mini Mill equipment. Products we make include yarn, core spun yarn (rug yarn), felt sheets, roving and batts.
