Concentrating on dyeing Maine fibers with Maine plants, Jude has been exploring natural dyeing for over 40 years, leading workshops for a dozen. A former shepherd, she now focuses on her dye garden as well as collecting native, and non-native, plant material for an on-going project. She uses some purchased traditional dyes and fibers, but is especially interested in sourcing Maine-raised, Maine-spun yarns.
